pH/ORP Probe Port

The PM1 can be used with either a pH or ORP probe, depending on what you’re looking to monitor. For example, if you’re running two aquariums near each other, you can connect a pH probe to the PM1 and run both tanks off the same Apex system. Or maybe you have a calcium reactor and need to monitor the pH inside to automate a CO2 solenoid. Alternatively, you could connect an ORP probe and automate specialized equipment like an ozone generator.

Temperature Probe Port

This module also features a temperature probe port. An additional temperature probe allows you to monitor the temperature of another aquarium or even the temperature of the ambient air around your aquarium, depending on where you place the temperature probe.

I/O Port

The PM1 Module features an I/O port, which is how you can connect your Apex to the Breakout Box, one of the most underrated and underutilized Apex accessories. The Breakout Box allows you to connect up to 6 different switches or buttons to trigger feed modes, timers, and more.
